Ar 33 is an army coastal battery that lies at the southern tip of the peninsula west of Arcachon. It was manned by 1./1287 H.K.A.A. and armed with 10.5 cm K 331 (f) guns. The bunkernumbers are given, if possible.
Ar 34 lies even more south and is completely swallowed.
In front lie the remains of the concrete road. At the back you see the famous Dunes de Pilat (or Pilay). This national monument is 107 meters high and over 3 kilometers long. It contains 60 million cubic meters of sand.
