The inland batteries.

The shores at La Baule and St Nazaire were covered by at least 10 inland batteries. All had
a dedicated observationbunker of different types. Some French, well respected, sources,
refused to accept the existance of bunkertype 143 in the French part of the Atlanticwall.
We have found two bunkers of this type in St Nazaire. Type 143 was only built in Holland
and here at St Nazaire. The ones in Perriere and at the camping Bel Air in Bonne Source
are noted in the left hand menu.
The batteries "Adolf" up and including, "Fritz", are part of the mainlocation La Baule.

-- "Gustav", (N 58) was at Les Ecobues and due to the new highway, probably demolished.
-- "Heinrich", (N 57) is near a little lake at Carriere de Rouallais and is so nice.
-- "Ida", (N 55) is at a villaparc in Landreau.
We make a sidestep to a defencebunker of the airfield St Nazaire Montoir.
