Special on stoves

Typical for this area is the way many bunkers were heated. For instance in a 502 normaly every compartment has its own stove. The 502s build here have only one. In most cases it stood in the "doorway" of the seperation wall. The exhaust was led to the gaslock and from there it went through the frontwall up to the roof. The plate for cleaning the pipes is sometimes at the inner wall of the gaslock, sometimes at the outer wall.

We also found unusual pipe systems in the 501 and the 119a in the headquarters at Soulac sur Mer.

One stove between the two rooms. The exhaust goes to the gaslock.

The inspection plate is in the gaslock.

From here it goes into the frontwall and up to the roof.
