Flakturm VI

The Flakturm lies at the Neuhöferstrasse in the suburb Wilhelmsburg. The guns were 12,8 cm Zwillingflak 40, so each with two barrels. Dimensions: 39 x 23,5 m and 42 m high with 8 floors. The bunker was also used as an airaid shelter and had separated entrances for the civilians. In 1947 an attempt to blow the construction failed. Only the inside was damaged. That is why it can not be visited.
