Hilversum

Der Wehrmachtsbefehlhaber der Niederlande, the supreme commander Netherlands, had his headquarters in Hilversum. Untill March 1945 this function was filled by the General der Flieger Friedrich Christiansen. During the last months of the war in Europe General Oberst Blaskowitz took over and finally he signed the capitulation on the 6th of May 1945.

The house on top of the communication center was also built by the Germans as camouflage.
