Wn 220H

Situated in the dunes of 'De Punt' in the south. You'll find two 504 and a big 502 too, together with a 134, open emplacements and fine Tobruks. It was armed with two 7.5cm Pak 97/38, a light and heavy MG, a Renault FT-17 tank turret with machine gun and twenty small flamethrowers. A 60 cm searchlight could light up targets at sea. The coast has changed a lot here since the Brouwersdam was built but the complex is in very good shape because it was under the sand for a long time. The start of the excavation was in 2010 and is still in progress. We bring you a mix of old and new pictures.
Be aware: The terrain is under protection for the special flora and fauna and still prohibited area. It is surveyed by forest rangers who will not hesitate to give you a big fine. You can contact the foundation WO2 Goeree-Overflakkee for more information.
