Groede 2008

For decennia the park was visited by families who enjoyed the presence of the flora and fauna. Other visitors came to see the bunkers. The park has been changed into a sort of modern art recreation facility. Themes about many aspects of life and nature are to be presented in for us hard to understand constructions. In fact many trees are gone and all thin concrete adjacent buildings are demolished. The same goes for the two open emplacements. The St-bunkers remain, but lie in many cases free in the open now. Groede has always been famous for the remaining camouflage patterns on the bunkerwalls. These relics were protected by the thinner buildings and the trees. Now, from 2008, wind, sun and rain have gained free access to the quality of the paintings.

This new construction is waiting for housing an undefined theme.
