Zuid-Holland

This part of the Dutch coast goes from the battery Hillegom in the north to the former island of Goeree-Overflakkee in the south. We start our coverage at the battery in Noordwijk where many bunkers remain, but they are almost all covered with sand. In former times Katwijk presented nice bunkers at the battery Katwijk-Alt, covered now, but we have old pictures. The commandpost at Rijksdorp in Wassenaar is covered partly. In the city Den Haag we visited the Landfront and sites in the city. Hoek van Holland brings us amongst others the Staelduinse Bos and the battery Vineta. The island of Voorne has the radarsite Biber. On Goeree the cablebunkers play a major role. Many additions were contributed by Henk Adriaanse.
